In our previous blog post, we shared how CMC received a collaboration offer from Grafos, a Spanish mural artist group. True to their promise, Grafos visited Korea, and in the third week of September, CMC and Grafos met to discuss the details of our collaboration.
During the meeting, after extensive discussions, we agreed to create murals featuring iconic cultural characters from both Korea and Spain. By blending these characters into a single mural, CMC and Grafos aimed to illustrate this meaningful encounter between Korean and Spanish cultures. We chose the masks from La Casa de Papel, Puss in Boots, and the Tiger character from K-pop Demon Hunters. These popular elements are well-loved among young Koreans and Spaniards, and we believed they would resonate with a broader audience, sparking curiosity and interest in each other’s cultures.
On October 12th, 2025, we finally began our mural on the walls of an abandoned building in Samsung-dong. Our project faced many challenges, particularly due to the unpredictable weather and frequent rain in recent weeks. Despite these obstacles, we decided to proceed with our collaboration because we were eager to share our work with the public as soon as possible.

During our collaboration, we had an unexpected visitor— a reporter from Korea Daily. The journalist visited our site to learn more about how our collaboration mural project came to be. Once the article is published, we will share the full text with our audience to provide more details and background about the CMC-Grafos Collaboration Project.
